IIT Mandi completely shifts B. Tech. students to Kamand campus, 25th April

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, the youngest of all IITs and the only IIT in the Himalayas, has completely shifted B. Tech. students from its Mandi transit campus to its permanent campus at Kamand.

Hostel Day Celebrations, 11th April

Students of IIT Mandi celebrated “Hostel day” for all the hostels of Kamand (Parashar, Chandrataal and Nako) on 11th April, 2015. The students organized several cultural events. Nestled in the Sivalik Range of the Himalayas, away from the bustle of the metropolis, a new abode of learning has germinated. A few hours before the Himalayan resort Kullu in Himachal Pradesh, once considered "the end of the habitable world", the youngest IIT is coming up. The location is the forested hills of Kamand on the banks of the Uhl, a tributary of River Beas. The historic town Mandi is 14 km away.
