The culture of sports in IIT Mandi though in its initial stages, has developed a firm foundation.
IIT Mandi participated in the 42nd Inter IIT sports competition at IIT Kanpur. The Teams that participated were of Table tennis and Badminton. Similarly, the team of table tennis, badminton and lawn tennis participated in SANGRAM the sports fest of IIT roorkee. Our players also represented Roorkee team in football. Sportspersons of IIT Mandi are training themselves and practicing hard to perform better in forthcoming tournaments.
The sports being pursued in the institute are:To coordinate the participation and smooth working of all sports,institute has a Sports Council which looks into all these matters.
