Magazine Section
A magazine is a way to express views and opinion of an institute and at the same time bring out the creativity of the students.
Here at IIT Mandi we see magazine as a powerful source of information (both technical and literary) and as a outlet for the students of our institute. The first issue of our magazine came under the name “Versant”. Magazine group works under different sections:
- Editorial: A magazine is as good as its content. The members of this section are responsible for what goes into the magazine. The work of this section is to write, select, edit and sometimes re-edit the content. This section is a good platform for the students who have interest in writing and editing.
- Finance: No organization can work smoothly if the financial support is weak. This is what our finance section does. It is responsible for providing the funds to run magazine group. The members of this group get a lot of opportunity to interact with different people and also learn how to deal with problems in real world.
- Design: It’s often said that first impression is last impression and the first thing we observe in magazine is its design. Our design section is a group of dedicated people working hard to give a good outlook to our magazine.
Although magazine group has three different sections but we all work as a team in fact we all believe in saying that “United we stand Divided we fall”. Magazine group is a good place for all those who want to learn something new and also who have urge to express their views to other and show their creativity to the world.
