Friends Of IIT Mandi

The Friends of IIT Mandi are people who have a bond with IIT Mandi, who would like to contribute to making the only IIT in the Himalayas a unique world-class institution, but who are not able to join IIT Mandi full-time in realizing this dream. You may be a native of Himachal, you may be an alumnus of another IIT, or you may just have a desire to foster technology innovation and education in this remote corner. On behalf of the faculty, students and staff of IIT Mandi, I invite you to join our Friends and participate in our growth.

We have diverse opportunities for you to contribute to the growth of IIT Mandi.

Discussion Forum: Participate in discussions with faculty and students on a variety of topics such as curriculum, extra-curricula activities, research directions, etc.

Mentor Students: We will connect you with students who can benefit from your experience especially in entrepreneurship and career options.

Guest Lectures: You can give guest lectures in your areas of expertise. These could be delivered over the Internet to our Electronic Classroom, or in person when you visit IIT Mandi.

Research Collaboration: Whether you are in the corporate world are in an academic institution, you can work on research problems with our faculty.

This list is not exhaustive. The activities of our Friends will evolve based on mutual interest. We will keep you updated on the progress of the Institute through emails.
