Research interests

  • Inorganic metal complex synthesis, characterization and application by designing some novel ligands.
  • Supramolecular (host-guest) chemistry, Molecular recognition, Molecular sensor.
  • Synthesis of chiral metal organic frameworks (MOFs) and their applications in catalysis and chiral recognition.
  • Novel fluorescent chemosensor.

Education

  • 2009: Ph.D. in Chemistry, IIT Guwahati. Title of thesis “Synthesis and Characterization of Chiral Cu(II) and Ni(II) Complexes of Amino Acid Derived Ligands and Aniline Based Polymers with Functional Group.” (Awarded on 10.08.2009).
  • 2004: M.Sc., Visva Bharati University.
  • 2002: B.Sc., The University of Burdwan.

Academic Achievements

  • Qualified in Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Junior Research Fellowship (CSIR-JRF) held in June 2004, subsequently upgraded to SRF after two years.
  • Qualified in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) held in February 2004 with “All India Rank 62” and Percentile Score 98.2.
