ISTP course is run in collaboration with the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), U.S.A. since 2013, with faculties and students from WPI visiting India to work jointly with our IIT Mandi mentors and students on a variety of socio-technical projects for a period of two months every year.

In 2016, 2 faculties (Dr. Ingrid Shockey and Dr. Stephen McCauley) came from WPI along with 23 of their undergraduate students to jointly work with 19 IIT Mandi faculties
and 16 students.
In 2015, 2 faculties (Dr. Ingrid Shockey and Dr. Lorraine Higgins) came from WPI along with 21 of their undergraduate students to jointly work with 15 IIT Mandi faculties
and 26 students.
